The DLP is a grassroots collective of educators, academics, visionaries, and community members challenging colonial knowledge by providing a counter-platform for learning, sharing and growing.

Tapping into various networks of post secondary and graduate studies students, we realized that scholars were already fueled and were producing content suitable for the DLP platform — our job was to keep the momentum going and raise awareness about the organization and its resources.
The DLP made a bold move by establishing a digital platform for scholars and creatives to showcase their work and resist colonial frameworks. Along with it came the role to break the ice in BIPOC communities and encourage them to utilize the platform.
Together, we made noise. Developing a powerful website, launching a striking social media campaign and organizing events to connect likeminded scholars and activists caused an uproar of empowerment. The DLP received all sorts of submissions including book suggestions, scholarly papers, artwork, music and resources.
